    Sounds like you don't have an X trans and your trying to pull the whole unit. If you don't have an X you cant follow X vids for trans work. they changed the case to split witout coming out of the chassis. Pre x this is not the same. I'm just guessing I cant follow what youre really doing here.

    I never had an issue with the rods themselves. Ends like X said... Then I scrapped them when HPI released the big bores and never looked back. Those shocks had the Bad arse look but made for bad arse performance in the negative way. I did height mods and used every oil in the book then drilled...

    I'd take a look at the slipper nut for this issue. Check slipper and clutch and confirm its 100% before you touch the trans. As fred said it can be run both ways ... That sounds like it is a lean condition and it needs to be enriched as your doing... Could be air leaks could be many things not...

    I don't see any need for more low end in a savage. With a 2 speed they just flip over with any qulity 28 and matched pipe. The hpi pipes all suck for good motors. I own all hpi , jp 1,2 and 3 086 plus ercms pipe even the buku. Hpis are all trash for power and the rib is not even a tuned pipe its...
