That nova number is for a header he reccomends along with the 9886 pipe. That is for max power not 100% necc. To start.
Percision piston lapping is wearing in the piston percisely for maximum squinch. Better pinch more power.
Pistons are the same part number along with most everything. Parts were availabke from hobbypeople. I just threw out the exploded views printed from their site.
Its just luck of the draw thst one ladted longer than the other. Both made from the same parts lot in the same sweat shop in china...
Xtms are also sh engines. I forgot about those the 457 may be that same engine. I cant remember how many ports it had.
The backplate off of the 24.7 pro will fit them all and is a lot smaller so you can run bigger gear options.
Keep cgecking ebay. Sometimes you get lucky. The losi 454 used...
If the mill work was poor it was just poir on that engine. Lrps have defects too.
I have had that sh 3 port later converted to 6 port, lrp, big red, and losi 454 all pulled apart on my bench. Only thing diffrrent was the cooling head and sleeve.
Sh vs lrp vd dynamite vs losi is just who...
Lrp is a sh engine. Its the same thing just three ports. Not as much top end. I ran one for years before it wore out.
I'm not sure what the lrp is going for now. If its only $20 more, it would be a better choice.
Yes i do own one of neals lrp.32s. Also a nova 5 port and paloma.21.
The nova will pull a little higher rpm. Tge lrp will pull wheels in 2nd gear. He has a video of one doing a standing backflip. It is the current baddest mt engine you can buy.
The 7 port is a truggy engine. The 8 port legend is the mt engine. So between the two you listed, lrp.32
The ultimate mt engine woukd be TNS LRP.32. In modded form this engine is an animal. Also comes with a Nova carb.
The nova has a sg shaft. Same type as the 4.6. It should have come with a new collet. The flywheel and clutch should fit no problem. Shimming may be different. Post a pic so i can see what youre talkibg about.
Truck should roll freely with a nudge fron your foot. If its not rolling freely, thats your problem. Either linkage setting, horn position, trim setting or brakes are assembled wrong
Its not an air leak. An air leak will do the opposite of this. Hes running rich, both needles. I'm also thinking the brake is dragging. You mentioned messing with the brakes and servo horn. Do the wheels spin freely?
If you hsd an air leak it would run kean and high idle. Leaning the lsn should raise the idle. Idk how it wouldnt.
You shouldnt have had to mess with the needles just swapping a spur gear.
