Have you verified if the tube is clogged? Or if it has a leak? Put the tube under water, then blow through it, you should only see bubbles at the opposite end.
I completely missed that body in the pictures, didn't go down far enough. The body you have is an HPI GT-2. It is likely bought aftermarket as it is clearly a clear body that was custom painted. The truck you have came stock with a GT-3 body.
Yup, you have a Savage X 4.6. Specifically the 2011 version, assuming that the receiver is stock. That receiver was only used in two versions of the savage and I doubt you have the special edition (though hard to tell since you are missing the body and stock wheels/tires).
Here is a link to...
Which Savage were you wanting to get? I assume the X SS, since you want a kit? While the tekno is a great truck, it's really a completely different animal from the Savage, especially a nitro driven model like the X SS.
Go with the Robinson Racing 16/48 combo, if meshed right you will never have an issue. No mods necessary to swap them for the stock setup. The battery indicator is discontinued, luckily there still appears to be some out there. I found both items on Amazon...
Wow, I figured I was one of the only ones holding onto an STS engine. I have a D30M RB modded, so much potential....sadly my Z.28 LRP is a much better engine.
Welcome back!
LRP went through bankruptcy recently, causing LRP stuff to disappear. Luckily though, slowly, LRP engines are making their way back to retailers.
I found a spec 4 .32 if that's something you're interested in. Just need to add the pull start/ roto. Should be a beast in the...
Only 4s in a 1/6 scale and only costing $400??!?! :D I'd have to see it to believe it's even remotely worthwhile.
The standard redcat stuff isn't for me. Now, team redcat I can get behind some.
Agreed.
The R5 is a good looking truck and I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews on it. I still don't think it will do better than the X-maxx though.
Most who have had it happen, due to failure, will agree it is not a great way to run the Savage. But, feel free to give it a shot if you like. Just remove the dogbone from in between the transmission and the front diff.
We'll all silently make bets on how quickly you change back. :D
Sadly, I don't believe there is a "stock" setting in any documentation. Only that counter clockwise gets you an earlier shift, clockwise gets you a later shift. I've looked around for transmissions, nothing really out there. Even the 3-speed is unobtainium.
If you believe you have fully gone...
