It looks like the bracket for the guard, to the left of the tank is likely going to be in the way.
Here is a picture from HPI's site. Not a great view though.
Can you post the guard you are using? I know when I had my new era kit with ofna tank I couldn't use the engine stop because the kit mounted just below the tank (where the engine stop mounts). If your guard does as well, I'm guessing at the least it will need modification.

You're saying the X TVPS are the same length as your IRC extended TVPs? That seems unlikely. Unless you have one of IRC's TVPs that aren't extended. It's possible one will fit, but I would contact IRC to see if they know for sure. IRC has made several types of extended TVPs over the years...
Definitely a F4.1. Linked below is HPI's listing for that engine.

The K4.6 has a scalloped head. Link below.

Could be many things. Do the wheels turn when the truck is off the ground? Does the servo move at all? You say you were adjusting trim, did you turn the DR steering trim all the way down?
I would troubleshoot this way:
disconnect servo arm and see if the servo moves.
if not, move servo to...
I usually just use a flat head screw driver. If you find you want something a little more designed for the task, there are many clutch tools out there. I have used THIS one, it does fairly well.
I still have my New Era tank mount. It was a platform bolted to the TVP that had stand-offs in the right position for that tank. If I remember when I get home I'll take a picture. It's no longer on the truck though.
X ;) , conspiracy of one is my self deprecating title. haha
Since crashing will not likely be in it's future, you could lose a few ounces by removing the front and rear bumper assemblies. Shouldn't be too hard to minimize weight by losing extra material/ components. Maybe the center skid...
It's too bad Platinum RC isn't still in business. Having their full array of carbon fiber products might have made making weight easier. Though it does look like you have carbon fiber TVPs and center skid plate? Platinum also made servo plates, engine plates, shock towers, etc.
With several...
