tho i will advise that spending that little bit more on a quality steering servo will pay off in the long run, adds better performance to the cornering of the truck too

someone will post a few more decent steering servos to choose from but them 2 is what ive used
edited ... to get full...
might get hated for this ..... the stock steering servo that comes with the savage is total rubbish, too weak, cant pull the skin off a rice pudding
edit ..... hpi know this too, if the truck is very new then id call them up and get them to change it to something like sf-50 servo
I have no need for this F 4.6 or roto starter, replaced with LRP
This engine has a new one way bearing and new cooling head
was running perfectly when i took it off my truck, ive stripped, cleaned and rubbed after run on the internals
Roto start works fine
It just going to be rattling around my...
great stuff, i do hope you enjoyed yourself, well done for holding back a bit till the engines fully broken in, great pics too tho some of the truck in action would be better :)
or ...... buy a piece of carbon fibre, hand your plate and the blank to a engineering company and say, make that but them slot holes set them back 2mm
i am able to make that plate with the new adjusted holes but i don't live your side of the pond
so, I'm now thinking, is it wise to just buy a hpi alloy plate, they are cheap enough, that way if it goes tits up you wont have hurt your carbon fibre plate
tbh thats what id do
