This forum is a mess with ads. Took forever to get the ad blocking the post thread button to go away. That was ridiculous. Anyways curious about tuning after changing from 20% nitro to 30. Wouldn’t that require some leaning of fuel to get it tuned? I have an Lrp .32 spec 4 and it...
I don't know for sure but I’ve heard they are done. When I bought some of the FLM stuff for this build I was told by one vendor I had gotten one of the last FLM kits out there. Glad I finished mine when I did.
Try using a blow dryer to preheat then loosen plug just a little to ease compression. When it starts tighten the plug. Make sure you have the proper plug for the temp outside. Should crank on almost any plug but the right plug will run much better. Also I’m assuming you have the carb set to...
Cool. I’ll check into a JP-3. I agree on the Lrp stuff. I’ve ran across some stuff in Australia but not a pipe yet. In fact the only Lrp r5 plugs I’ve found are in Australia for $40+shipping ?
I know it’s a long shot but I’m looking for the Lrp tuned pipe or if anyone knows of an equivalent pipe for a Lrp .32 s4. I’ve checked no less than 25 links thru various searches. I’ll pay a fair price for a used one too.
I’ve always used 20% for no other reason than it was what my .25 savage from way back ran on. Should I be using 30%? I’m confident I can tune for it but I just keep buying 20%.
I actually have a new Lrp owb on the bench so I’ll be trying it out as soon as I get time to install. If you do go with the OS starter parts I’d be real curious how they fit as compared to the SH stuff.
As for a starter box...I wish. It would take some customization to be able to start off of the flywheel. I was thinking of some type of lever/idler wheel that could lock onto the chassis( maybe on the side somehow and allow bump start from a drill with a rubber wheel on it. Haven’t tried to...
I’ve had luck with some SH parts fitting Lrp. I bought my last .32 with no pullstart only to find out all the Lrp parts were back ordered. After some research I used an SH backplate and pull rope. Works just fine. I even recently added roto start. The SH owb has already failed tho...
I can vouch for the fuel consumption on a .32. I kept thinking I was running too rich but after tuning it for a bit, it just uses a lot of fuel. Substantially more than the 5.9. Of course the performance way better also.
