And also look at the programming flow chart for the traxxas link. Anything with an lcd screen will be much easier to program.
If you must get it, check the bay or someone who just bought a newer traxxas model and wants to dump the radio for cheap.

The fit of the mount was near perfect but the finish not so much. Its a waterjet cut part with some sharp edges. I deburred to taste.
Some escs don't like throttle input to be turned down, just be aware.
Kershaw has a dual motor mount. I'm using it with a single castle 2200 and its been holding up. Then maybe an emaxx dual motor brushed esc off the bay for cheap. Esc also should have" training" mode for kids.
Good luck in...
I might as well update too. I went bl with a mmmv3 and 2200 motor on 4s, cranked down the spur and the same bones have been taking a beating. But as I've read around, a 4s system is pretty mild
I remembered seeing this in the past and contemplated doing it to solve htl prob. One of the issues is that it's ugly as sin but hey to each his own...
It's a tower terror tank on an xl
Yessir!

I'm at ae50wt oil with the ravens and stock aftershock pistons (plastic threaded bodies). They feel almost right, I prefer more pack for my driving style. Now thinking of the sway bars.
I dig the losi's for bashing. And of course they do look the part. Still trying to find the right oil weight for the rcraven springs tho.
For me the innovative rc kit took a lil editing for fitment onto the shock towers, but what aftermarket part doesn't. Still recommend it
yep increase in power towards the end of the tank is how i came to notice it. then after reading more about it started to check temps and sure enough...
Been on my set for about 2gal. Plenty of twisted/broke/bent stockers and shiny bones in my past, not anymore.
Got the xl axles, bulks with diffs and bones at seperate times for my x with a spare set of bones just in case off fleabay. Haven't needed any spares basically. It's a worthwhile upgrade
During break in of my k4.6 it got to about 280. Tuned it and got reasonable power but still somewhat high temps. And yes there are too many factors regarding engine temps
After noticing the msn back out a couple times, I sealed the entire engine including the msn almost flush with holes thru...
I for one don't hate anything. Just experience from my brief ownership of an old tmaxx, plastic splined shafts and plastic gears don't belong on a nitro rc imo
This subject has been beaten to death all over, we all know this. Just putting forth my experience and opinion. No hard feelings I hope
