the new 3speed gears help

hi guys i just got the new 77065 3speed gear ,i got the new gear that goes on the pinion shaft to go in ok,but the 3speed gear i tryed to get that to go in and its been hell,1st i couldnt get the pin to go in to lock the gear on the shaft,so i looked at the 2 gears the new ger is thicker,did any...
