The mugen aluminum shoes and 1mm springs is a nice setup too if you like late engaging clutches and snappy wheelies. I have heard great things about nova shoes but have never used them. I currently have their engine mount and cooling head and cant be more happy with their products and service!!
HHMMmm interesting!!! Its a cheap hop up so if its doing anything let it do it and I think it kinda looks cool but not for me if i ever run into a problem with my stock one i will consider it!
Ya they mount the opposite way then the stock savage, the nipple for the pressure line is on the bottom and the wire mount for the front of the pipe doesnt line up i think you have to drill the pipe I have seen people running them i just don't like the look of a upside down pipe!!
I am running the Vantage pipe on a Axial 28RR and I have no complaints the pipe is pretty loud at idle and is very durable and light i was previously runing the hpi polished pipe. I know i know i have heard all the scientists and engineers "the pipe must get hot blah blah blah" well mine gets...
I like to use a small allen key to install the shoes. I place the allen key through the clutch shoe and spring and onto the flywheel pin then i slide the shoe and spring down the allen key and on to the post then i use a small flat head to pry the spring back gently and it all snaps into place...
Did u have to shave the tank a bit and fiddle with the mounts to install it!! Mine sits pretty close to the rear shock but doesnt touch it I also cut my body just a bit so I can refuel with the body on!!
I am running the ofna tank mounted in the same position as the stock Savage tank and I love it before the first half of the tank was useless cause it would run so rich eventually heating up and running lean by half tank. It looks like a much better quality tank then the stock tank. I don't think...
Sorry its been awhile for me too I didnt read the date I was just searching for some info on some Vantage pipes as i was interseted!! Thanks for the update
I guess there is benifits to both your caveman picture evolving to a savage is absolutly off the hook i love it did you make that???? I would make that a sticker and put it accross my savage on the side!!!!
ok be a hero and make one and save yourself, what maybe 5 bucks oh wait you may have to buy a soldering iron some solder some heat shrink or a baloon, cells or batteries as you say or how about this be a big spender don't waste your time spend a whole 25 bucks and buy one much easier!!!!
Thats exactly what it sounds like he is set too rich so the engine cant get up to operating temp until 3 quarters of the tank is gone just after the half tank issue which is leaning him out and bringing the temps up i would like to know his engine temperature throughout this whole process is???
What you described is not the half tank lean issue that everybody has if its not changing gears from a full tank to a quarter tank (not half hence the name half tank lean issue) then that is not your problem!!! The half tank lean thing i find is overrated its not that bad that you need to...
