My Savage SS wont move???? Help!

How much run time does this truck have on it? Turn the spur gear by hand (turn it towards the fuel tank) does it make the wheels turn? If the wheels turn disassemble the clutch and inspect shoes and springs.

anyone else work in hobby shop ?

I never agreed that electric is a better way to start this hobby. Most are never satisfied with a stock electric rc. Now start adding up good batteries, good charger, the cost to make an electric rc fast. Now that it's fast it needs to be stronger.....Nitro is cheaper, trust me I know. I tried...

    HPI K 4.6 engine problems

You say it has loss compression...Well you have answered your own question. I would have suggested a pinch but with the sand in the carb incident I would go with a new engine. Sand will eat up everything, it's the worst thing that can happen to an engine. This is a prime example of why your...

    most dissapointing hop ups ?

I had them on a revo and they were very tight, had to pry them off. I forgot about these they do suck. You had to be careful when you tighten them, if you got them tight it would snap the hex pin.

    Tranny prob - not shifting

A 3 speed is nice and does add performance but it can be a pain if you have to adjust your shift point from first to second. The screw to adjust first to second is inside the tranny so you might still have to take a tranny apart.

A real newbie Savage X SS question! Flywheel, clutch and brakes.

The pilot nut needs to be tight so the flywheel doesn't slip. The installation should go as follows Spacers on the crankshaft to ensure a tight flywheel, if memory serves me right I think I used two on my 4.6 Collet flywheel pilot nut clutch shoes/springs clutch bell just enough...
