How much run time does this truck have on it?
Turn the spur gear by hand (turn it towards the fuel tank) does it make the wheels turn? If the wheels turn disassemble the clutch and inspect shoes and springs.

I had them on a revo and they were very tight, had to pry them off. I forgot about these they do suck. You had to be careful when you tighten them, if you got them tight it would snap the hex pin.
I would stick with the OS, others claim more HP but like stated above thats mostly hype. Plus it's an OS...reliable and easy to tune!

A 3 speed is nice and does add performance but it can be a pain if you have to adjust your shift point from first to second. The screw to adjust first to second is inside the tranny so you might still have to take a tranny apart.
The pilot nut needs to be tight so the flywheel doesn't slip. The installation should go as follows
