Ok, so I pulled everything apart, cleaned the shaft up really good, put a new owb on, put it back together, it still spun freely. Figured I must have put the bearing in backwards, so I switched it, still nothing. Pulled apart the backplate to check the gears, they're all still in perfect...
So, are you saying that my owb might still be good? Should I just take it off and clean up the shaft and the bearing and try it again? I bought a new one just incase, so its no problem replacing it.
So, I've got about 3/4 of a gallon of Blue Thunder 20% through my 4.6 and now I'm going onto my 3rd owb. I looked online and on the bottle of my fuel, and can't find what the oil content is in it. I had my engine out the other day to install a new clutch, and found that 2 of the 3 screws for...
So, was heading out for my afternoon bash today after installing my new clutch. Got the truck all ready to fire up, turned on the switch on the truck, and smoke started coming from under the cover. Me and buddy quickly opened it up, and the hump pack was on fire. We got that put out no...
well that didn't last long! went to go play today, and she wouldn't fire up, so i did end up replacing the OWB. got some experience taking my truck apart and putting it back together, so that was definitely a bonus!!
so i bought a new OWB today...was about to start pullin' my truck apart to replace it, thought i'd better try it just one more time to make sure, and she fired up...so, now the truck works, and i've got a spare OWB!
where can i find instructions on how to get to the bearing and have a look at it? it could be the exhaust gasket too, a new tuned pipe was just put on it yesterday.
Had a heck of a good time playing with my new Savage X yesterday. Fueled her up, went to start it again, and now it doesn't want to turn over. I put the RotoStart on it, try to turn it over, and it just spins freely. Anyone encounter this problem, and know what the fix could be? Thanks!
