Oh ok. When I built blacked out savvy 10 yrs ago, I found a guy in Arizona that I sent all the parts to to be stripped and re-ano'd black. All the pcs came out nice.
Actually, it's not as hard and time consuming as you'd think to remove the purple ano. But, then again, it also depends on how polished you want it to look afterwards. If you just want the purple striped off and quick polish, it could easily be done over a weekend.
Not sure if they are still being made or not, but McCoy plugs were my go to for me. The GP in my motor now is close to 10 yrs old with maybe only a 1/2 gal on it. Still works.
Have you checked Pro-line? They are still making bodies. And if you have extended TVPs/chassis, bodies for 1/10th scale short course trucks fit good, i.e. traxxas slash & hpi blitz for example.
If it's a flux or any high power brushless, I've seen a few occasions where the tires ballooned on high speed runs on the road. Also, full throttle big air jumps can balloon tires.
Like I said before, I really like the badlands. I got mine before they started selling belted tires, so I put 2-4 full wraps on the inside with Gorilla tape. The one that looks like duct tape but thick and strong. On a side note, when I ran my truck the other day and broke the T/B servo arm and...
Hey guys. I'm looking to find some old maxx style 3.2" tires. New unmounted. I have an extra set of blue groove rims and need tires for them. Any help would be great.
There was a member on here from Australia that built an all carbon fiber race savage that weighed around 9 lbs and was whooping up on truggys and revo. Won quite a few championships.
I had planned on racing mine occasionally but never got the chance. Maybe here in the future I'll be able to race it a time or 2. But, I'm a basher through and through.
Not sure. What's the reason for changing the bearings? I would suggest that if your doin a bearing swap in a motor, opt for a better bearing like from Boca. The front main bearing in my Axial started leaking, so I dropped the extra $$ and got some Boca Bearings.
It doesn't just give adjustable upper arms for camber. It changes the caster angle, where the upper arms are mounted, and fixed toe angle for the rear. There's something else too, but can't remember what. If you actually race your savage, I would get the kit. Or just watch and see if the price...
It completely changes the way it handles. And add the sway bar kit, HUGE difference in handling. With the lowered ride height, I can take full speed turns without a chance of roll over. The front wheels also get a little bit more angle when they turn.
After a little over a year of sitting on the bench, ran 1/2 a tank a through it. Cranked right up after a couple pulls and ran rich. Started to work on leanin it out and when I brought it to me to turn the needle down and after sittin idle for a min, it flood stalled the motor. When I went to...
