    sounds like its really lean. do you have a temperature gun? the boiling sound is fuel hitting the really hot carb. i personally would set all of the carb setting's back to factory, and re-tune it. what fuel? what plug?

    it melted your last gear due to overheating the gear, which happens because the gear was slipping alot. thats a good reason to not "launch as hard"....the power wasnt getting to the drive train.

    i hit 32mph yesterday on my 6th tank of fuel, i wasnt trying for top speed or anything....a guy at the onroad parking lot bash yesterday clocked it and told me my savage hit 32. kinda cool.
