Well everything arrived yesterday except for the ceramic Diff and steering bearings which may be a few days. Now I just gatta get the CF parts cut. Planning for Saturday morning for them then its tear down and re-assembly. At that time I will install the bearings and shim the diffs better and...
I don't think there is much weight difference from steel to Stainless steel. I have to agree they suck, I will never and have never used them on my R/C's because the Hex's strip easy. Always grade 12.9metric. I have to agree I like cap heads as well.
On the E-savage I ran a LVA on each cell untill I busted one of them atleast they were cheap ebay specials. I do sell a LVA that is very nice. Tells exactly where the voltage is, how many cells and has an alarm and a LED that lites when low.
I know. I just can't wait till the truck is here. I should be cutting the TVP's next Saturday or Friday night. Hopping to get it assembled the week after this with all the new parts.
Things will come togather soon.
Dang, I though I had done that before. Can you remove the front on and push it back and install it.
If not just remove the 2 screws into the Bulkhead, then the 2 at the bottom holding the lower skid plate on. Loosen the radio box and pull the TVP's a part just enough to get the whole front...
Not much, they will just roll a little better and a little smoother. They can handle the rpm better especially when it comes to longevity. Otherwise not really. Avid Ceramic's are only $5.00 each. What's neat is they have one side metal shielded which gives less friction and the other is Rubber...
You should be able to remove the front trans grub screw and push the cup toward the back and get the shaft into it.
The only time I lost one is when this happened.
Well I just ordered Avid Ceramic bearing's for the diffs and Revolutions for steering bearings. I hope they will hold up better than the stock bearings would. I never had HPI stock bearings hold up on diffs.
Sweet idea to spend the time with the fam as well. That's the biggest thing I get greef about from the wife that my RC's come before her, LOL.
What a great, well organized area for working on everything.
LOL, my bro and I did this one day. The savy and T-maxx were flying probably 30+ feet easy, full speed jumps. We didn't break anything but we were also jumping onto the grass. Didn't try for any flips just making sure to lad on the wheels. FUN Stuff.
