Travis, I did fine another axle, thanks though.
What happened is that when it was doing the donut the Curb is heaved a little bit and when the truck was coming around it smoked that ledge and busted the axle.
I'm glad it didn't hurt the wheel at all.
Well hopefully the HPI Sway Bar kit shows up soon to correct the truck from pulling to one side or the other under hard pulls, otherwise i'll have to go stiffer oil in the rear for sure. Anyway here's some video's with some carnage from tonight. This is after 45min of run time a cool down then...
HUH, what did you use to belt your zombies with. Mine hook up pretty well on everything from what I can tell however there is much better out there, but I run a unmodded LRP on that truck as well. Mine are wrapped with a single layer of Duct Tape.
I tend to agree a non belted tire at low...
I believe the reason it doesn't like the LRP or most engines if i'm correct is because that header is made to sit on the other side of the engine. Notice the flat spot on the header to clear the Pull start or rolo start back plate. If i remember I ground it flat on the other side to fit the...
Well I just ordered the HPI Sway Bar kit #102538 for this beast. Still haven't gotten the wife to let me spend the $130 for the RSC's yet but they will come. Hopefully sooner than later.
I would assume the Rounded header would be best, I'm not sure how much gain it would be but would think it would be a tad. I can't imagine it would hurt anything.
I have a set of LCG Shock towers that it will get. I just need to scroung up the money for some shocks for it. First thing's first the RSC's.
Yes, that's the Proline desert rat Slash body.
That's a great idea Freddy to store them inside of as well. Remember these will not hold back all the smoke the pack will let off if they go which is a rotten smell, they will contain the fire well.
Alright, I just wanted to check and see how many use a Sack for charging there LiPo's in. Some may have no clue and some may use them already. Anyway, just wanted to bring this up to inform people of these. This may be coming from the Fireman in me but anyway. They are out there for your safety...
Ya that should be no problem. Remember the stock box isn't waterproof at all. You can wrap a ballon around it to something so you don't have to worry abou it.
Alright, it's together and has about 15-20 min of driving. I still need to shorten the wires on the motor and place them better but otherwise it's pretty good. Also need to get some 3s packs or something. So here are some finished pictures. I have no video as my RC cam's dead and waiting on a...
The truck completely ready to with wing and all but no body, no batterys and no tires is at 8.92Lbs. Stock was like 9.8Lbs. So some pretty good weight savings with gaining the extra 2.2" in length.
Received the ESC this morning. Not it's to finish the build process which is very close since these pictures were uploading. Anywhere here are some of the shots that you have been waiting for including the battery's and ESC. Now I just gatta get myself a set of 3s or go to 5s.
I also need to...
