I'm not sure honestly....I don't run Vista...you can try it though...the features are there...Vista comes with a safe mode and a control panel to add/remove programs...

Start out by going to your control panel...add/remove...remove everything from symantec...then reboot the system and enter in safe mode...from there
safe mode > control panel > admin tools > services...disable any current services that are still running for symantec...reboot again...
