What I did with mine was take the air cleaner off. Look down in the carb, and turn my throttle adjustment on my radio up a little to open the carb up 1 or 2 mm. Then hook up glow starter, put in roto start, start rolling the motor over, at the same time hold your finger over the end of the...
Do you mean the roto start is spinning and the truck is not or the roto start won't turn the motor over at all or it is turning the motor over and it will not start.
The only O-ring I see is the one that is on my chrome roto start shaft. If you pull your roto start shaft out of the black plastic case it should have a blue O-ring in the groove.
My first red stock Savage X body lasted about 5 tanks of fuel before the back part of the body got ripped off from dragging the ground while doing wheelies. My second new stock Savage body last 2 wheelies before breaking in the same spot. (right at the rear mounting posts.) I bought the HPI...
Ok. I broke alot of stock shocks last summer, and I do mean alot. Bent shaft, broke shafts, split shock bodies, busted caps, etc. I read alot of post that talk about HPI's big bore shock. Seems to be the way to go. Seen Integy aluminum shocks but, seem alot of people are not a fan of Itengy...
With the extended TVP's and LCG does it fly pretty flat. I don't want something I'm going to have to throttle and brake alot in mid air to control. With a mid tank mod, What tank do I have to get. I haven't had any trouble with my tank except it tends to run lean at half tank to empty.
All R/C trucks are going to be a "pain in the side" until you get em running right. Mine was the same way, I was ready to give up, but with a little patience and this websites knowledge I would'nt trade my Savvy for nothing. Is your rotostart chrome rod spinning and the back bearing plate on the...
yeah, looks like a good deal. can you still do some wheelies with the truck, my biggest problem is it'll stand straight up and tear the back of the body up. I put a wheelie bar on it and a new body and lasted 2 passes and done it again.
I have the RPM center skid plate. Will it work with the new extended TVP's or will I have to get an extended skid plate. Will my stock HPI roto start work with the longer TVP's or will I have to get some kind of longer shaft. Thanks alot.
I've put my truck away for the winter and am getting ready to get it back out again. I had trouble last year of it flipping over in corners and flipping over backwards. I've widened it out with wider wheels and tires, and am wanting to extend it. Since I've been away from it for about 5 months...
Hi, I've been beating my savage for a few months now and love it. Had a few problems with busted shocks and a spur gear, and a few loose screws, but i'm jumpin it pretty hard. I am looking into widening and lengthening it out. I was wandering about widening. Should I go with offset wheels and...
Thank you. we will try the screwdriver trick next time. We done the 3 paper trick and it definately felt alot better when you rolled the spur over. We will try it tomorrow and see how it works. Keep ya posted. Thanks again.
the truck runs around 210. He just stripped another one. We noticed that it is stripping the top of the teeth off. so we are going to try the paper trick and see what happens this time. thank you
