3.8 denotes the size of the ball the linkage cup snaps onto.
I just measured the ball on my carb linkage and a 3.8 ball will be fine..... thread size doesnt matter either 3mm or 4/40 will work to hold the ball onto the servo arm....

Unless your servo arm is threaded....... Then knowing if it is a M3 or a 4-40 is necessary.

I have the same thing on my Savage, only difference is mine is silver, the holes in it for the ball are not threaded so either 4/40 or 3mm threads will fit.....make sure to use a lock nut on the ball and locktite to mount it to the chassis tho....

Flooded bacement hey I feel sorry for you. Hope all went well. HMM drill on the front of a Savage and send it down the drain.

Anyone know where I can purchase the ball studs from? Thanks
