So this started out life as a Savage 25 SS kit, after a few years and several broken parts later it sat on the shelf whilst I concentrated on X / XL upgrades for my other 25 SS. Wind forward a few years and after the TwinZilla received some much needed TLC it got upgraded with XL front and rear ends / bulletproof diff's and dogbones and the XL Radio box... only problem I had at this point was the loss of the piston and liner from one of the Hotbodies .26 mills.. IT has remained this way now for way too long.. i'd toyed with the idea of LRP z.28's, but dug a little deaper into the manufacturers.

Recently I managed to lay my hands on a Nosram Monster .28 which will pair nicely with my Monster Evo 28, they're practically identical apart from print. Shouldn't be long before this thing is ripping it up again.

Only downside to this truck is the 23mm hexes..... can't find wheels for them anymore so may have to be replaced with 17mm ones very soon.

I had that same setup on one of my trucks back in the day called it twin mill. And no it's twin the head ache don't miss it at all.

I know it can be a headache sometimes :banghead: but in all honesty..... with this particular truck I don't mind. Previous excursions have attracted plenty of attention.... in rear wheel drive across the beach like a Baja sending sand 10-12 foot in the air and backwards... aah brings back memories... and that's why it's worth it. Love it hate it but most importantly bash it..

they are as rare as rocking horse sh!! mine should be a protected species :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:...

i just have to be extra careful i don't split it in any way, but then again i don't plan on bashing this one as hard as the XL / 5SC.

1. As of today this is how it sits.
2. The 2 x Nosram Evo 28's next to the 2 x HotBodies Powerhouse 26's
3. cant wait to have these things bolted on and running

Its not for the "Mid tank Lean" for which I have never experienced excepted with an Exhaust header gasket or coupler leaking which I have remedied- . (see Pics ) Just for longer run times.PIPE.jpg
