Hi Again,
While i was out bashing this arvo i flipped my truck doing a wheelie. it slid on the roof for a while and wore through the Aerial. Can i just solder it back together or do i need to replace the whole wire? if i need to replace the whole wire is it just a matter of soldering a new piece onto the receiver? I did this and i cant drive the car more than 15 feet away before i loose signal. please help its Friday night and i want to bash all WEEKEND.

Thanks
Josh

i guess you could patch the wire... or the hole wire... witch reciever are you useing, i have 2 stock hpi recievers if you want one....

The new wire will work perfect if it is the correct length.

Just a tip: It you have a stereo reciever most come with AM wire loops these days. I don't know about you but I don't listen to any AM radio. The wire on this plastic loop is the perfect for repairing RC Rx's and should provide enough to fix them 3-4 times.

Thanks mate, i soldered some wire in last night and gave it a good test today. i can go about 150m and still have signal.

i love this car

Okay I have question. I recently read an article about replacing the receiver antenna wire. Mine is in desperate need of replacing but, I want to get as close to the correct lenght as possible. I am running the orginal receiver on the Savage .25. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Same sort of problem here, just got my new ride off ebay and it don't go more than 20 metre before failsafe kicks in and stops it! Its a tf-40 can you get replacment ariel for it or will i need new receiver? Thanks in advance

if it is a 2.4 receiver the ariel is a special one, you will have to source the proper one or it is not going to work at all.....

2.4ghz antenna's are very sensitive to change. The better ones are coaxial antenna's with a grounding sheath on the outside where only the very tip is unshielded. You will have to take the receiver apart and see if what's in it is soldered to the board or if it uses a micro coaxial plug. You can find replacement antenna's that are "tuned" for 2.4ghz use. If your lucky, it's a micro plug. If your not... will need to get good at soldering then find a 2.4ghz antenna to replace it with.

Thanks, ile take a look 2moro. If not will just replacing the receiver do the job?(don't own a solder iron lol) It wont mess up any of the settings on the servos or anything will it?

it is the more expensive option but should work fine, no it won't mess up the servo settings either.....

Hey guys, back again with more quiestions lol, i was wondering if anyone knows if this controller ( Flysky FS-GT3C 3CH 2.4G LCD Radio Transmitter + Receiver) would fit in my truck also would it be a simple swap? New to this so don't wana waste money on something that aint gana work could see any problems with the aerial sand my controller has seen better days so may aswell swap both if i can. Thanks in advance again.

I also got a GT3B that i have modified to run off a LiPo, hacked firmware, and a few other things. Favorite mod is the LiPo as it really lighted up the radio
