So it appears the one Savage I picked up really cheap has a knackered engine, rather than mess about with it I’m going to just get a new engine so what should I be going for ?

Iv seen new 4.6 engines for £125 or is there better for the money ?

I’m looking at new rather than second hand so I know what I’m getting.

Thanks In advance

I’m in the UK btw if that makes any difference.

I did same thing wanted a big block so I bought a koysh ke25 got one for $112 fit right in $15 for manifold and pipe. $15 for flywheel, clutch, and bell. Total cost$142 can't beat that.starts easy tunes easy lots of power . Good luck

I like the 4.6. I was going to upgrade before. I got my savage. But once i drove it it was fast enough after i broke it in. Ide go with it.

It's a shame engine makers like lrp and picco are no longer around from what I hear they made great products. I would like to tried one or the other.

Theres still some on ebay. I been debayin on grabbing one for my hpi rs4 evo.

Novarossi I think has a 28. Someone on here put one in theirs. Guessing they can be got in your area since they come from that side of the world.

Found my post about it here:

You make that choice when you order it:

Looks like the Legend28-8 is the only one on the site that has that option. These engines are typically used for racing and with racing, they use bump-starts. Well, except that one. :)
