Has anyone used one before or have any input on these? They look pretty slick, program a switch on your remote, hit it and boom it signals your car to start. Wondering about longevity and how well they really work. Screenshot_20180303-194810.png

Looks like that might only be part of it. It would need an ESC/switch module for the glow plug, motor and receiver connection as well.

Losi made a Remote Onboard Starting System (R.O.S.S.) like that for at least one of their rigs a few years back. It had a little control module connected to an onboard LiPo pack that powered the glow plug and starter motor. The onle you linked looks brushless with 3 wires.

I see, it's a full kit:

Pretty cool, although, I prefer pull-starts.

I'm running a picco so it has a one way. Had a bad one and just pressed in a new one and works good. Just thought this was cool, may try it later if I do keep it. Which I'm leaning towards

I'm guessing the e-start will still require use of a one way or it would cause a ton of drag. e-start wouldn't help me much. 98% of the time, my rig stalls because it's on it's roof. e-start isn't going to help much with that! LOL

Looks like a LI-PO -3S or 4S of 1500 Mah is required, Is that something that is housed on board of the vehicle?, or plug in like the TRAXXAS starting system. sounds like extra weight.
