How do I tune my Savage?

So got the truck running seems to be running okay but as soon as I put on the brake the engine cuts out so I'm guessing that the carburetor thing is going into far how do I stop from doing that and still be able to engaging the brakes

Turn in the idle screw a bit. You should take the air filter off so you can look down the carb. With the radio on and engine off, apply the brakes. When looking down the carb throat, you should see a ~1mm gap. Adjust the idle screw until you see that gap when the brakes are applied.
