Bought a job lot from ebay, and with the spares i already have decided to build one from scratch! Progress so far.

Bought another job lot, which should be here next week, more to come:)

It's going good so far, it's just those little bits you don't think of and you find you haven't got or don't find!

Seems like a fun build! Keep the thread updated as you go.

Almost there !WP_20170512_16_47_54_Pro.jpg WP_20170512_16_48_08_Pro.jpg

The engine is a Thunder Tiger S28 and unfortunately the roto start fouls the rear gearbox on the savage, so i have managed to modify a fastrax backplate to use.But need to take to shaft to work on Monday to turn it down on a lathe !

Here's my savage build from a basket case.

Very nice build. I'm' in a similar situation. I swapped off some Blade helicopter gear for two Savages, a 4.6 and a 5.9 and a pile of parts. The 5.9 is in one piece more or less and the other is a "work in progress" with a lot of aftermarket bits and pieces.... mostly pieces lol. Should be an interesting way to pass away more than a few winter evenings.
