Nitro XL goin' brushless

Now that I am looking at your pics on a real screen rather than my phone I see both trucks have big bores and duels on both, didn't catch that. I also see you have fastened a skid plate of some kind on the new XL, exactly my concern with the gear box hanging down there all vulnerable.

Had time to figure out a skid plate. I just used an old Proline skid plate I have from the previous XL nitro. Had to heat it up with a heat gun and then straighten it because the nitro xl tvp’s are not flat on the bottom. Then I used a couple nitro motor plate braces, attached them drilled 4 holes in the tvps and done. Almost looks factory.

thats awesome! I wanted t do the same but afraid to drill the TVP and have it not line up.
