Hey guys, happy Sunday fun day! I am experiencing elevated heat in my F4.6. Temps are holding around 300 to 315! I'm running ODonnell 30% speed blend(it may be old fuel). The engine is putting out good smoke when on throttle but not much smoke if any at idle. It's not cutting out at full throttle so I think I'm good with HSN & I'm tuning with a half tank. Is it possible that I'm a hair too lean on HSN as well as too lean on LSN? Also, I'm not that far off from factory settings & the engine & carb have been sealed per the forum guide. Also it doesn't like to idle very well once temps hit 200. I'm leaning towards LSN is too lean, old fuel or a combination of both. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a LSN problem. You can always richen it up some to see if it helps. How old is it? Possible air leak?

I'm thinking LSN as well, the engine has about 2 to 3 gallons throught it on a new piston, Rod, & sleeve. I am going to check the fuel lines & filter for air leaks.
