Looks like a great rig as described here. The manual and other links to additional information is found here.

Looks like a cool beast. Dave

Looks awesome but I wish they got the buggy-style hex 17mm nuts out of the box.

Hi guys, i bought a savage xl flux, but the upright set part (85048) died after 5 minutes. I bought the new part and i'm waiting the package. I have a question: please can you tell me if the parts, excluding the engine obviously, are the same parts of the savage xl 5.9? I would like to get some aluminium parts for this truck. Thank you!

all savages are pretty much the same, with a few exceptions
flux/XL have bigger dogbones, axle cups, and diff cups.
XL has different frameplates and rear-center axle. flux has different frame plates. otherwise, they all the same

Hi bifftit, thank you for the answer.. Do you know if i can look for aluminium parts matching the original code with the upgraded one? I'd like to buy the right parts avoiding misunderstandings, because i'm from italy and i takes a month to receive objects from US.

no, aftermarket parts# do not usually correlate to Hpi numbers unless its an HPI upgrade. for the most part, if it fits an X it will fit an XL, SS, Flux. .25 and .21 and vice-versa

I'm surprised they were able to release this, since they STILL haven't released the Venture FJ yet, and they first teased that over a year ago.

The savage line are pretty tough trucks. I have never broke anything on my savages from crashes.

Aluminum parts are not always better, plastic will flex on big jumps or crashes but aluminum will just bend. Plus plastic is generally cheaper.

Personally I just drive untill something breaks then replace and keep on going. :)

I'm guessing that is sarcastic? haha

Don't let that truck collect too much dust on the shelf.

hehehe. thats what i was thinking when i first posted. had a long paragraph about All the issues with running that truck anywhere near objects you could crash into, but i then decided to keep my yapper shut.
Its missing those high$ FLM suspension arms

I DO dig all that shine, though

ITS nitro cousin:
