I was thinking that I needed to practice more with a new lens that I have to see if I like the pic quality, color saturation, and sharpness. Figured my freshly cleaned up KM Baja was a good subject.

The last pic was really an accident. I let the camera handle the focus and it chose the grass!!! With a setting of f1.8 that meant a razor thin DOF. I laughed when I saw that the camera chose to focus on the grass, but thought the pic was kinda cool anyway.

This is my first and only 5th scale, so I can't really compare them. I can say that the KM is pretty strong. I have not had any problems that I didn't create. Is starts on about the 6th pull (no choke) and runs fine. I change so much stuff that I didn't see the value in spending more money for the HPI Baja. I'll spend that saved money on upgrades. I wrestled with whether to buy the KM or the HPI. In the end I went with the KM and have no regrets. If I had to make the decision again based on what I know now, I would do the same.

Time for some changes:

Been doing some work on the Baja. I decided that I wanted to make it fast. Thus far I have lowered the suspension (about 1in ground clearance). I ordered new rims and Hostile Slicks. I also installed the power starter (don't miss the pull start at all. I installed an 8k clutch. I just tore it down for cleaning and I found the diff leaking, so I'm going to rebuild it with seals and diff fluid. I'm going to order a carbon fiber engine plate and rear brace and brake mount. My next step is going to be different gearing (16/58) for better acceleration. I eventually want to install an aluminum diff case and a DDM Dominator pipe. Once I've gotten it as quick as I can, I may start looking at something a little more expensive like a 2 speed transmission.

I had a brushless Savage X and although it was blazing fast, I really want to stay with a 2 stroke engine. I just love the noise and the smoke.

yes, I have had a lot of electric vehicle, always sold them quickly, nothin like nitro, and the all day running and not messin with a box of batteries, but winter time is a good time for electric

Sorry, Brother. I'm not the one to give you intervention (heck, I need one too). Between DDM and ebay this hobby is more expensive than drugs.
