The time has come to go into hospital and have this cancer removed so have put all my Savages into storage, same with the LiPo's for my flux's and tidied my work area :(

Should be back on my feet in 6-8 weeks and hope to start using my again Savages in October after all my treatment is complete:cool::cool:!!

Keep the great posts coming in as I am looking forward to getting online as soon as possible to catch up and make sure everyone is bashing hard, breaking and then fixing stuff as this is what makes owning an HPI Savage such a great thing!

Thanks Jam. This has kinda snuck up on me as it's only been 6 weeks or so since I was diagnosed so just want to get it done and back on my feet as quickly as I can. I am in no doubt as to the magnitude of what I will go through but I have a great family and an awesome set of friends who will help me through.

I have a series of goals that I have set myself to speed up my recovery and taking my son out with our Savage's is up high on the list!!

All the best pal, chin up high, fight this for your son, take help when it's offered and ask when it's needed. Get back to us all asap

We hope everything goes well. Best wishes from all of us.

Hope all goes well and my family and I will be praying for you gob bless you!

Am finally feeling kind of human again. Radiotherapy was without doubt the hardest thing I have ever done!!! It was not the process which was every day for 6 weeks that was hard, it was the side-effects. The worst was being tired and having a mouth full of painful ulcers which meant I had trouble eating. In all, since I had the operation on 7th August I lost 22kg in weight!!

It is all about the recovery now and despite the fact that I have had 1/3 of my lower jaw removed and replaced with bone & tissue from my leg, I can eat a pretty normal diet and I wake up every morning with a smile on my face because I know that it is the start of another day towards full fitness and recovery :).

Sadly, the weather here in the UK is not lending itself to bashing and something called Christmas is making things even more difficult......

Keep up with the posts as I really enjoy reading them and look forward to providing updates on crashing and bashing my Savages very soon:ercm::ercm:
