Was wondering if brake fluid will take off factory paint from a 4.6 RTR body. I've had success stripping paint off proline body's that I've painted myself.(probly not even using the proper paint) but the paint on this stock body is super hard, not a crack or scratch in it anywhere. I'm prob gunna end up trying the brake fluid on it anyway. Just wanted to see if anyone has tried before or if I'm wasting my time.

You sure it's paint? Many of Those Factory bodies are printed and then stamped out.
That's probably the case, had brake fluid on it for 3 hrs now and nothing is starting to loosen up. So I guess there's no way to get this body clear then?

you could try something like oven cleaner, but it will be difficult to remove the print.

also, those bodies are pretty weak, hopefully it wont weaken it further.

Ya clearly the brake fluid isn't touching this finish. Been on all day and still as tough as new. Oven cleaner will be next. Not too worried about sacrificing some thickness to remove the color. Got it for free, held up surprisingly well too.
