Hello,

I have done a significant amount of research and nothing has helped so far.

My brakes aren't stopping the truck, I have tried the following things.

1) adding a piece of tubing
2) adjusting the brake arm
3) adjusting the screws on the brake calipers
4) sanding the brake discs with very fine paper

Note: When I physically pull the arm down, the truck has a ton of stopping power so I know the discs are worn out. My throttle is also working perfectly fine...

Is there anything else I can try?

Is there a servo saver on the throttle/ brake servo? If so, it could be stopping the servo from applying enough force. They come stock with one installed. I replaced mine with a standard aluminum servo arm long ago. Binding in the linkage could also be an issue.

it is also possible the servo is just too weak to give good braking, what one is in the rig now??

My Savage brakes have been soggy for a month now. I'm going to try out these;

HPI-87150

Hopefully you'll try them too and fix your problem!

What brakes do you have now?

The stainless dual disk are known to fade after a while. I prefer the red fiber dual disks myself.

Hello ecarriel check the screws that go in to your tranny for the brakes the screws for the brakes on my Savage XL stripped out and my truck would not stop I put some super glue in the holes put the screws back in tightened them down and that fixed my brake problem just a thought.

Where can you buy all those parts? Because I can't find them they are discontinued
Yeah, OFNA kind of shut down I think. They were the go to for throttle linkage since they had so many buggies.

Here's a few sets that will get you close, you may need to find your own threaded wire that is long enough though:
