Check eBay, I have the same setup. I've seen new sr3000 on there before

well if you want to you can possibly use the sr3001 if your tx is using a module in it..... but that rx is gonna be spendy to buy new I am afraid.....

if thats too much to spend then search Flysky GT3B on e bay and just go that way with a new system....
you can get one of those for less than 50 bux and it is a nice radio setup.... I have 1 and 3 receivers which I run my other nitro trucks with the same system....

The Flysky GT3B is very easy to setup. I bought my recently for $34 on eBay. I bought a secon reciever for $7.00 I will put on my trugy. You can fine tune the radio at you driving skills. Very nice radio.

Why do you need new?

I think I have a couple DSM receivers laying around. I upgraded to a DSM2 radio, then found some cheap receivers that tripled my range. Never had good range with any of the actual spektrum receivers regardless of DSM or DSM2.

Or, you could try one of these:

These are the knock off DSM2 receivers I run now that tripled my range:

Took 10 days or so to ship, but was totally worth it. Looks like I can get them on ebay now from the US for a bit more, without $8 shipping from China.

I called horizon hobby and was told that no other rx would be compatible with the radio, so now I have to get a new set up.

So what your saying is Sr3000 is the only rx that will work with dx3 tx? Other brand DSM rx won't work? Good to know, lousy buzz

That what they said but I wonder if one of the newer ones that are out will work.

I'm just not really happy with the range on my sr3000, I was going to pick up a decent priced DSM rx and give it a try. But if they said no go I'm not sure if it worth it. Did they say all dx3 rx models? Mines dx3.0, but I'd imagine if it came with a 3000 they are similar setups. I'm going to try to contact a manufacturer of an after market DSM and see what they say.
