Hey y'all,

Just got a old dewalt drill out that is 14.4v and took the motor out of it with a 15t gear on it. I want to take the nitro stuff out and put this in it. I have made a custom motor mount for it. Does anybody know what else I'm gonna need for this project.
I would really appreciate the help please.

Thank you
Brian

You will need the parts to eliminate 2nd gear and third in the transmission also.... will need battery boxes and other assorted bits to change it all over to electric..... check some of the other electric conversion threads here and you get an idea.....

I appreciate the reply but I can't find anyone that has done a dewalt motor conversion for the savage xl and if they did what parts/setup did they use... I'm not really looking for speed but when I had a traxxas emaxx and did a dewalt conversion it was simple and I loved it! It had a lot more torque and I could go through Rocky terrain easily.
I have a esc, receiver and other spare parts from my traxxas summit.
Please help me.

while there are no threads on the "dewalt" conversion most of the electric specific parts are still going to be the same things you will need to make your Savage electric. beyond that you will need to help yourself somewhat in your conversion process......

Motor mount, esc, batterys, battery boxes, and possibly a rx box. Also, you will need to change the 3 speed to a single speed like jam said. I think kershaw makes a kit for that.
