I exploded my slipper clutch pads today. No big deal, right? I went online to order some more and NO ONE has them. The lowest prices I could find are from some place in the UK on eBay. It doesn't feel like a good sign that such a simple, necessary, and consumable part would be so hard to find. Should I be worried about the future of the XS Flux?

I was just about to link the results on ebay. Your LHS should be able to get some for you, otherwise like X said there are plenty on eBay.

A bit of an update: I found the pads on eBay, but while looking at parts on HPI's Web site I saw that the SAVAGE XS Flux that I have is now listed as discontinued. The F-150 Raptor edition is still listed as available. This doesn't surprise me too much because I recently learned that that model uses a different ESC (and motor?) from the one I have.

When is a new XS being released or do you have any info? Just bought a XS and am bummed to hear a new is coming. I am running mine on 3S with the upgraded tranny parts with no issues.

I believe the Raptor Edition is the new one. If you have the older one it should still be fine, though on 3S I'd be watching my temps. As far as I can tell, most of the parts besides the body, ESC, and motor are the same between the models.
