Hi gang. Just got a used xs on ebay. Well cared for. It's my first HPI. Wasn't sure how I was going to like it after driving a brushless Slash for 3 years (and the Rustler I have for my grandkids). Well, I love it. Really handles well. It came with almost new ground assault tires and aluminum hpi shocks. Once I refined the power delivery with the Castlelink, it was near perfect.

Welcome to the forum jagfan!

X2 for pics of your RCs. :)

After quite a few runs, the "previously owned" part of the vehicle is showing up. I had to replace left front axle cup as it had spread out so far the dogbone wouldn't stay in place. Then some clutch issues. Not surprised when I took it apart and the tangs were gone. Just lots of green shredded material around the housing. And I've replaced a few bearings. Not disappointed at all as I assumed it would have some work to be done.

I love the sealed trans. Even though I run on a dusty old ballfield, the inside of the trans was very clean. Bearings were good and gear teeth exceptional. Had to replace the rear diff internal plastic case as a new bearing had seized and rubbed most of the plastic mating surface away. Is this common?

Happy so far. I just picked up a new Sprint 2 Flux BMW. Pretty impressive for its price.

The XS is a ROCKET on 3s.... you will go through drive cups and dog bones like you go through paper towels.
