You're doing good Jr. What do you think caused the wear? When I started performance tuning my Savage I noticed what an impact the weight distro had on it..so I started playing around with the suspension. It's obviously different for terrain/overall setup but truck really pushed coming out of corners. I was able combat that by running full droop up front (removing the limiter) and stiffening up the rear by adding a limiter. Too much weight was being sent to the rear so the droop up front soaked a lot of it up and tightening the rear helped keep it planted. For goofs one day, I decided to spring balance the truck and found that those HellFire red "firm" up front with Mugen MBX5 (light blue) in the rear allowed synchronized suspension travel. I don't race my Savage (I do race 1/8 nitro buggy though) and one of the things I love about the Savage is how it takes to set up changes, specifically suspension due to its HCG. Just a little sumptin-sumptin. ;-) Keep up the good work here, I'm interested to see how it turns out for ya!.

The clutch shoe wear? I'd chalk that up to Trencher X's, 1.1 Springs, 17/47 gearing,, deep snow, and crappy composite S25 shoes. I put three more thanks through the new MaxLife shoes with no issues at all. I could feel the truck getting more and more sluggish as the tank went, I just figured, what the hell... Not like I have any reason to save the shoes lol.

I have ordered some HPI alloy ones for backups now, as I've seen some bad reviews of the MaxLifes, we'll see.

As far as suspension, you are right, even simple shock oil changes have a drastic effect on the Savage. I haven't gotten into tuning the suspension yet, I'm just happy I can get it to run consistently for now lol. As the weather warms, and I get all the kinks worked out, I do intend to get into that more. I plan to get some big air this summer, although it may be electric by then lol

Well, I've been through a bit of a rough patch lately, and RC had to take a bit of a backseat to life's responsibilities.

However, my GF has started a new job, I'm starting one Monday, all the poo goes out of the house when we flush the toilet now :drowning:, so onnce we get on top of out bills, I'll actually have some funds to devote to the ole Savage again here in two to three weeks!

So, to come, new servos, a radio... Possibly TVP's and a midtank. :cigar:
