Very nice indeed. What color is the dark color, it's looks like a metallic charcoal? If you lived close by, I would send my lid for you to paint.

VERY nice job GIRLYPANTS. Lots of different detail and excellent use of color. Everything blends very smoothly. You should be proud of the finished job. You did a beautiful job, and from what I can see, everything blends with no bleeds or problems. Are all your stencils on the inside? And what body by who? GREAT LOOKIN RIDE!!!!

I just looked at it again, and I see the HPI on the front wheel cut-out. DUH Where do I give a thumbs up? Never can Find that?

Just finished a lid for my Bud's Short Course. He wanted openings cut out AFTER I FINISHED PAINTING!!!!

ive one more thing to get, wheels n tyres, I'm wanting 1/2 offsets with 3.8 tyres.... i know trencers I'm after something slightly different tho i might end up with them, lets face it, they are mean and cool looking
for now ill break the engine in with the wheels n tyres i already have on, which are brand new, i just don't like the floppy side walls

sidewalls on the stockers really do suck. The ones I saw the other day, Six pack something look awesome, I'm going to try them I think. Gotta have Chrome wheels too, I like the BLING!!

Thank you, It's Faskolor Fasblack, Fasblue for the flames, I just finished adding some detail to the grill, flattening out the bed (out of black, so I used pearlblack) then I used charcoal Pearl first with the overlay, covered with black pearl to finish the Carbon Fiber look. Hardest part was cutting out the tiny stickers! Gettin old, can't see!!!!

Jr.... You could do this exact paint job with rattle cans. I used a Vinyl mask for the flames that I cut out on my cutting machine, but you can get flame masks and other designs from XXXmain.com . The bigger it is, the harder it is to lay out, but if you take your time, you can do it. Savage HPI bodies work great for me. This thing was a MONSTER. I think the flame piece across was like 13.5 inches. The F10 pick up I did for my Savage was only about 6-7 inches across...much easier. It was also flat, which makes a big difference. Start out with something flat if you can, curved and louvered surfaces will bleed through your masks real easy if you aren't very careful laying down your masks. Even if you do get some bleed (and I generally get some) you can very carefully pick it away with a piece of small wood or plastic. Toothpick, good idea, wondered what those were for. Try it, do something not to elaborate, you CAN DO IT.

Thanks GP. He won't see it till tomorrow, but he showed me a picture of what he wanted, and I tried to match what he asked for. Kinda went against my grain to mess up a paint job, but I guess I really didn't, giving him what he wanted
