I thought the same thing until I looked at the other 3 wheels and realized that they don't touch the spacer at all either.
Is there a better set up that I can use for wheel hexes?
I think I found out what the problem is. Either the plastic hub is too shallow on the inside, or the hole for the drive pin in the axle is too far in.

notice how close the pin is to the purple spacer. This is on the hub that the bearings went out on.

this is from the hub on...
2 of the 4 tank were sitting on the stand also. I did notice that the right rear wheel didn't seem to spin as fast as the other 3 when the truck was on the stand. Maybe they were bad from the start. I have replaced them with some used bearings out of another truck. I guess I will wait and see...
I have an Axial .28 Spec 1 that I am modding. I am wondering what the best pipe and glow plug for this would be? I ususally run the O'Donnal plugs and I have a stock tuned pipe for now. Thanks for the help.

Thats where I got the ideas from. I have not run it yet, still waiting for the carb needle to come in. I have put the engine back together so I can run it before I make any timing changes. Should I make any porting changes next time I have it apart?

Its an Axial .28 spec 1. I really had no plans on modding it until the mid range needle fell out of the carb while running. Since I had to take the engine out any way to clean it, I thought what the heck lets try some modding.
Thanks Pure for the help. I'm just learning how to do this stuff and from what I have read you are the best in the business to learn from. Thanks again.

Alright, thanks. So if I want to increase the timing of ANY port I need to move the port up right? If thats the case, what are the effects of moving the port down?

I'm a little confused on how to degree the intake and transfer ports on my engine. I know with the exhaust port I start at the top of the port and move the piston down and count the degrees until the piston closes the port again. My question is, for the other ports do you start at the top of the...
