Thanks Guys... I kept looking at them and thinking this (clockwise) is wrong... it just seemed they would swing out better the other way. Now I know.. Next time I will install them backwards and see what happens. Installing clutch shoes is so much fun.. one of my favorite things to do !
Does it matter which direction you install the clutch shoes... clockwise or counterclockwise ??? The pictures I have seen and way my Savage came out of the box the shoes were installed clockwise while the engine spins counterclockwise. Seems to me the clutch shoes would swing out better if...
Dual Disc Brakes
Here is my 2 cents on the HPI Dual Disc Brake... I was leary of trying it as I did read the negative reviews.... such as the brakes locking up. I gave them a shot and they are working fine for me. I did not even install the little springs that some use to keep them from...

I Owe You An Apology
I found out why the truck was veering.... A co worker saw me bashing it last night and said.. maybe it's the ....... The reason I owe you all an apology is because I forgot to tell you the truck has a wheelie bar on it. Not the single wheel HPI... but a double wheel job...
Truck Ran Better, But
I bashed the truck for awhile after work in the parking lot.... Most of the time it went fairly straight.... a couple of times it veered and still to the right (even after swapping the L/S dog bone to the R/S) But.. there were some patches of gravel and bumps which could...

Hi All...
You gotta love this forum where everyone who has been through these problems have answers. Thanks so much.... I checked my dog bones and the left rear one was bent... ever so slightly. At lunch I swapped sides and tonight I will see if the truck veers left! Also, in...
Not sure when it started but my Savage X veers to the right under full throttle from a stand still. It seems worse on grass than pavement. Sometimes on the grass it will veer as much as 45 degrees to the right. I thought the veering started after the rear dif blew out. I changed to the alum...
I have a 1400 mAh Hump Pack which I charge with a 100ma trickle charger. I have no idea when the pack is getting low, so every night before I am going to run my Savage I charge it up overnight. My question is... if the battery is discharge only slightly (say only 25 - 30%) am I hurting it by...

I had one on my Savage.... It had a noticable DECREASE in power and it ran hot... 300 degrees... I'll sell you mine if you still want one !!!
Ha Ha... forgive the post... just looked at the date... not toooo late am I ?
k0m0d067.. I think you are probably right about the OP being output.. makes sense.... BUT... If I take the rotostart apart and trace the wires and there are no apparent diodes, resistors, etc between the jack and the batterys... doesn't that suggest I could use it to charge ? Granted... an...
