    axial.28

replace the stripped screw in the motor mount! That's the problem. You mesh it up right then when the motor torqe's up the slightest movement in the mount changes the mesh.

    Break-In Issue

it's normal for the lrp to be that tight. Like said before try heatin it up and lossen that gp up a 1/4 turn on starting. You can also leave the igniter on for a few seconds why you clear the crankcase with a few blips of that throttle. One big thing is to make sure you are getting to 200°F and...

    LRP Breakin

savagepsycho is right! Same problem when I first got my LRP too rich on the bottom, with a high idle. Turn your idle down about to about .5mm and lean the LSN 1/8 turn. You said you thought it was a airleak before? Did you check the temps? It took me a while to figure mine out. I too thought it...

    not doing wheelies anymore

How did the clutch look at the rebuild? Is it Alum? Sometimes matching a new CB with old clutch you lose your bite, due to the way it wore with the old CB.

P&P: Axial 28 Spec 1S, My first one!

yep........That's the bottom of the 2 transfer ports. It is designed to pull up instaed of down. You can must of the time see the fuel tarnish in a fang like manner. By doing it in a downward manner it creates turbulance and effects the crankcase pressure. The engine will still run, sometimes...

P&P: Axial 28 Spec 1S, My first one!

I notice alot of ppl are doing the bypass port the wrong way! If you touch the bypass at all. Remember it flows upward! The reason I catch this is b/c I myself did this before. You effect the pressure in the cranck case by this.

    tuning problems

If the temps there are freezing, then I think personally 250° is too hot! Like mantioned airleak! I would think a air leak would give you an erratic idle tho! Running to lean is a good possiblity! Remember colder temps you want a richer setting. Check your tune over just to make sure it's not a...

    Engines?

Neither one if you have the 4.6 already. I would upgradee to the LRP or the picco. The axial .28 spec1 is very close to being identical. The axial .32 is an all bottom end mill. The axial RR is not worth the trouble. That mill is such a hit and miss. The LRP and the picco are 2 of the hottest...

    tuning problems

what is the ambient temps where you are at? what nitro % are you running? You may want to get a colder plug depending. The plug that came with the truck is a hot plug. The big block engines like mostly cold plugs. Nitro % is in the factor as well.

    axial .28 question?

Axial's are hit and miss really.........as far as front bearings go. The mill itself is great! That MSN will start backing out on you if you are not carefull though. I have had one that started leaking at about 1/2 gallon. I have had 2 of them that did not leak at all and last over 9+ gallons.

    Crash's HPI K4.6 engine mod

No problem man. I found a good mod on this engine is to put fangs on the bottom bypass port. One fang in the middle of each transfer port. Also bringing the exhuast port up about .012. This mill will allow you to go this far with out having to modify your crank case. Will def wake this engine up.

    Crash's HPI K4.6 engine mod

Just curious. but should'nt the bypass port (1 below the 2 tranfer ports) be pointing in a upward manner? I beileve that pointing downward will have a negative effect on the pressurizing of the crank case. I have only modded just a few engines myself. I'm by far not a expert. I just wanted to...

    low speed pinch test

Yeah but for measuring how many secs it takes to die. If you pinch the fuel line 5inches away from the carb than of course it's gonna idle longer ,it has more fuel to use up. The way the pinch test was designed was to pinch it a inch away from the carb inlet. There is also so the punch test you...

    Clutch bell problems

You can also use a piece of fuel tube to take the space up. Or buy the Ofna shim kit.

    LRP break-in

If you are having a hard time getting temps up you can lean the LSN a tad. During break in you are at idle to about half throttle. Heating the engine up first will help things out. Remember t oreturn the piston to the BDC position when cooling. Higher nitro will run cooler temps then the lower...
