Naw the standard Savage X side chassis plates are as cheap as $8.00 for a set on Ebay. They set everything lower giving it a lower center of gravity making it less of a chance of rolling over in the corners. If you want it to sit lower check out the Fastlane Machine LCG (low center of gravity)...

This motor is known for leaning out for a few reason. Do you have a stock fuel tank installed which is a standard Savage problem? What pipe and header combo are you running on it? What Gear Combo?
The stock XL header and Polished Pipe is boardline for the motor and the pressure is not enough...
The HPI polished pipe all day long. For the money you can get one for on Ebay it is worth its weight in gold. The Ofna 086 is just as good, but the HPI is cheaper. The Buku is junk on the F4.6 motor but is good on other motors such as any LRP. And if anyone thinks the Buku is awesome on a F4.6...
