a new body and an old body... (56k maybe...)

i think i enjoy making the bodies more than actually running the truck sometimes. here are 2 of my nitro gt2 bodies, one is last years body, the other is this years. last year's, a metallic black and bright red scheme. honestly wasn't thrilled with how this one came out. looks pretty decent...

    My first lid

i like it! think it looks pretty cool. i just leave the windows clear. just less paint, and i can get to destroying it quicker! lol.

    brakes

nope, this is what they're talking about. these work good, but a couple hard impacts can potentially cause them to shred... or split down the long ways. lol. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUWK5&P=Z

    brakes

make sure you're using the correct brake pads if you upgrade to the steel brakes. that will make a difference. i had the upgraded kit on my 3 speed and really liked it, personally. if your brakes are good at first but then you notice some fade, don't forget you can adjust the brakes by turning...

SavageX4.6 Big Block: Flipped it and now it wont run.

there's 4 screws on the bottom of the truck. flip it over, you'll see a somewhat large, FLAT purple piece (looking at it, right-side up, straight down, it's what you're motor is mounted to). that's... well, your motor plate. heh. but yeah, there's 4 screws, loosen then just enough to where you...

    slipper clutch

lol that's pretty sweet. yeah man, if you guys would want to come down for a little bashing, by all means. the more the merrier. my schedule can be difficult to work around right now, but i'll let you guys know the next time me and my buddy plan to run.

    slipper clutch

sounds like you crank it pretty tight there. how's the gear/pad holding up being that tight all-in-all? i'm about an hour and maybe 30-45 minutes south of boston. i'm less than 15 minutes south of providence. when me and my buddy's take the subway into boston, we drive maybe about 50 minutes to...

    slipper clutch

hey everyone, first off i apologize if this has been asked before. i'm just curious as to how tight everyone runs their slipper clutch? i'm running the stock 2 speed tranny on my x 4.6. when i had the 3 speed in there i ate threw spur gears and slipper's like there was no tomorrow, could never...

    What fuel next?

i've used trinity monster power, but will be switching to another trinity brand cause one of the lhs here doesn't stock it anymore. i really like the stuff, truck runs good, easy to tune. stay far, far away from blue thunder. i bought that at first. from one tank to the next, the truck's tune...

    Truck idle out of whack

check the servo, there's a chance it may have popped off or is simply loose. i had some issues with the throttle/break servo for a bit till i took a good hard look at it, found out it was slipping, and was able to fix it. havn't had issues since.

Nitro fuel sat all winter, is it still good/

i have half a gallon of trinity monster power that was sitting in the laundry room since early summer last year. i ran my truck a week and a half ago for the first time since last summer with the fuel, no problems. truck seemed slightly down on power, but it also may have been because i didn't...

    Futaba 3PM 2.4 GHz Review / Overview

are digital's worth it? i'm just a basher, i do this as a hobby and only for fun. i was thinking about swapping the steering servo out for a really high torque one (i have a generic 'hobby-something' metal gear in there now, higher torque than stock, but not much) in the future, probably next...
