I still have Hitec Hs-5645MG servos i use in my Savage 21's. Hell of a stout servo.

is a lrp zr32 spec 2 too powerful for a stock savage x?

These little trucks are just what they are named....Savages. I upgraded a stock .21 to an Ofna Picco .26 when they first released. The only issue it gave me was burning out the slipper clutch because i didn't tighten it enough after stripping it out previously. If anything I would do the 4 gear...

how to install this hpi tuned pipe?

In a pinch while waiting for parts to come in, I have used a coat hanger bent to the shape needed, and drilled the base of the factory plastic exhaust mount. Ran it until it broke........that was many, many, many, many years ago. I took the savage out of moth ball status, and realized i still...

could someone explain to me how to do a wheel alignment?

Remove the tie rod end on the out of line side from the turnbuckle, and rotate the outer rod end to shorten or extend the tie rod.

savage x any way to stop the nose dive flips and the tipping over on turns?

Look into stiffer foams for your tires.

possible to make savage x plant to ground rather then wheelie?

Possibly a change in tires. Look at changing your clutch bell/spur gear ratio's. Zip tie some weight to the front end.

    Fuel Issue

I had the same issue as well. Had a basket case Savage and a new motor in the garage. I filled the tank up 1/4 full of fuel, plugged the ports and shook the hell out of it. Then tested flow with blow method until it flowed freely. If the motor has been sitting, you will likely have blockage in...

    Tuning advice needed

I'm willing to bet you need to lean out the HSN. Let the truck run until down to half tank and see if the engine doesn't perk up a little bit. Also check that the air filters haven't begun to fall apart. I pulled out an older .25 and put it in and the filters i had, 6yrs old still sealed never...

I must conquer this problem second motor no other option but bump start. Could i..Jb weld a gear onto a bit. And use a drill..to rotate the flywheel

Or use what this guy did. Sorry this may not work in your case if you don’t have an external oneway bearing.

There used to be a company that made a flex shaft with rubber wheel and an adapter plate to mount on chassis way back when so is TVP users could run motor options without the pull start or one way bearing issues. I cannot remember the maker for the life of me though, it was over 10 years ago...
