    Ok, I got the spring off that holds the header pipe on using some heavy duty needle nose pliers. I'm having a heck of a time getting it back on. Any suggestions? As always, help is appreciated.

    Tips on Nitro engine

    On a different kind of "toughness" level, I had my Savy stored in a plastic box for 5 years, with fuel still in the gas tank (not recommended). The 21 engine is about 8 years old. Two weeks ago, I decided to fire her up and could not believe it fired up on the first turn. Runs great.

    Ko, that is exactly correct. I pulled the engine and the back plate. Question is, is it the bearing over the shaft that I need to replace, or the gears in the housing. I really couldn't see anything wrong with the bearing meaning I could not turn by hand, but as soon as I put everything back...

    Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I am new to the forum and can't find an answer. I have an original Savage 21, with the 25 engine in it, about 9 years old. Up until this morning, it was starting just fine, then all of a sudden, the rotostart just spun and spun, not kicking...
