I run and have liked my Goliaths on my XL for 2 seasons now. They are very stable and seem to give me a perfect amount of grip/slide to avoid rollovers. I destroy my friend on the track with his Terra Pins. In any case, they are heavy as hell and my new LRP .30 can't even pull this thing up so...
AH nice, thanks guys. I didn't realize what the little spings that came with it were for. I suppose the black rubber ring is for this as well. I thought it was for the exhaust port of the engine, and the header was being pushed off when I used it! It all makes sense now...
I'm going to sound like a n00b here, but how is your exhaust and header connected up? I have a new 053 and I'm using a typical rubber coupler like I had on my stock HPI pipe. Your setup looks way cleaner...
Needles are stock, as it's not broken in yet. Plug is stock so I'm not even sure what temp it is, probably should figure that out first! I'm running 25% O'Donnels. In any case, in these temps what's a suitable 'cold' plgu number from McCoy or OS? Seems this 'hot' or 'cold' is different between...
As a side note, can you guys recommend a plug for me?
I'm trying to break in an LRP .30 and it's about 55-60 degrees out right now (12-15c). The plug that came with the engine is still good as it's brand new, but I think it's too cold.
The engine will fire with A LOT of pulls (pre-heated to...
I think if anything I need an engine plate with longer left/right slots for the mount to slide in. Does anyone make that? I'm thinking I can grind out the slots in my stock plate...
Thanks for the Londoner thread, will check it out.
Had the plate out last night for a cleaning and it seemed totally flat. I wasn't looking for warping though, but I had it on a flat workbench and it was sitting flat.
So I'm good with the Nova for fitment in an XL w/ LRP .30? Guess I'll see what others say on Purenitros comment of side to side...
So I'm mounting up my new LRP .30 in my XL. No matter what I've tried the mesh is way too tight. Eating paper and just a lot of force required to spin the spur. I have the bolts/engine mount pushed as far as possible, just no where left to go! I was thinking the only option is grinding out the...
So I threw a glow plug washer in ahead of the HPI nut. The springs fit in the groove now. On top preparing the clutch bell, and from the sounds of it cleaning out the bearings of factory lube?
Well i tried to force it in, and it's not going to happen. Are you guys on the Max Life shoes that have had success? Maybe the shoes are offsetting the spring to much for me or something. The HPI springs work JUST, but site on a tight angle to get in the groove.
Guess I'm buying the nut...
