    ive been running the sidewinder in my blitz, racing with a 10t motor. its perfectly fine, and only a tiny bit warm after a heat.

    I'm wondering how STS engines are, the time is here for a new engine for my savage and I don't want to go the conventional route (picco, lrp) though i know i would be happy with either. I know what Robin thinks of STS, but I'm looking for more opinions.

    I've heard of stretching 3.2 tires onto LPR (3.7 inch) wheels. you would need LPR foams, too.

    retune and shim properly for different percentages of nitro to avoid detonation

    Brushless conversion

    Has anyone ever used Kershaw's direct drive brushless conversion? http://204.186.93.64/Savage-DirectDrive.htm That would appear to be stronger and more efficient than modifying and using the transmission. If anyone has used this setup, please give me your feedback, good or bad.

    i like my F but the crank pins like to break, and the spring loaded pin for the starter is not my idea of good design.

    RC cars could never have dry starts, the lubrication is in the fuel, and the crank case is never totally dry, whether you after run or not.

    As for the 2.5, you may need a new carburetor... (traxxas carbs leak from everywhere, and the composite bodies crack) Its hard for me or anyone else to tell without hearing it.

    no reason why not to... i have never had any problems at all with WD40. no adverse effects on the seals in my experiences

    as for the engine, if you are worried about it, take it apart and clean everything with WD40. if you arent worried about it (if it was a .25 i wouldnt be) just pull the plug out and flush it with WD40.

    Pull the throttle to wide open while priming, then see if fuel flows
