hey guys, as you may or may not know i just bought a savage flux. i reviewed the guys feed back and everything looked very good. his items showed well and descriptions were good.
I bought it and paid for it here was the link

its now not available. I don't know if this is a big deal but this is what has me worried

I've contacted him, heres the messages so far

Me: hi there. just curious if theres a tracking numberor something for my savage flux i purchased? if not when was it shipped. thanks for your help

Him: scott, yes, there was some confusion on your order and i apologize for the delay. it has gone out usps and i will update the tracking a little later today.

Me: ok so does this mean that it was just shipped or was it our awhile ago?

Him: i'm sorry i have so many emails that i can't keep them straight. can you please tell me your full question?

Me: i purchased a savage flux and you said there was a shipping mix up. I'm in Canada. I'm just wondering on how late it was getting out the door or if it was just a few days.

Do you think I'm getting my first scam pulled or is this just a coincidence he's don't on ebay all the sudden? he never got back to me with the tracking number and the last message i sent was just tonight so I'm hoping for a reply. if he stays incontact that should mean something.
 
you think its bad? he has great feedback with a lot of sales but he was not registered for long and now i'm just worried. should i give it a few days to see if he replies? i want my flux still. i don't want to get to excited and do something ill regret but i don't want to wait till its to late if i am being scammed.
 
I haven't done the ebay thing before, but it does seem kind of weird that all of a sudden he is no longer a registered user. When was the last reponce you have from him?
When was it supposedly shipped?

he communicated yesterday, but today i went and checked and hes not a member all of the sudden. it seems weird but I'm still hoping hes honest.
 
You can post a claim on his Paypal. This will suspend his account and basically take the money back from his account until resolved. I would recommend doing this if it has been awhile since he last contacted you. Paypal gives him 1-2 days to contact you. If he recently contacted you or it hasn't been to long then don't get to eager on the dispute give him some time. It may be straightened out and he may be very busy.

If it's been a while with no contact go to paypal right now and put a claim in. You can only do this for like the first 30 days.
 
file a claim with paypal if he is honest you will get your flux and no damage will be done if not you get your money back. Its simple and easy protects both of you. let paypal handle it.
 
yea dude...DO IT NOW! even if he doesn't send the Flux...you WILL get your money back. takes about 2 wks so do it now!!!!!!!
 
Id put a file in with eBay too, I'm not 100% sure but if he has already withdrawn the funds from his paypal account then paypal cannot get the funds back to you, i bought some bits from a uk RC site, i didnt recieve the parts after 3 weeks of waiting, sent numurous emails, all ignored, then his site suddenly shut down so i started a paypal dispute, i won the dispute but because there was no funds in his paypal account i never got my money back, but if it was an eBay purchase id have been more protected and could have disputed via the resolution centre too.
 
its messed up & I'm really hopin the flux shows up at your door with no issues.

i just find it curious with this $600 truck caz i always give a track # when i sell parts for $15-20. :Xfingers:
 
Not for me they didnt, decided in my favour but got no refund, heres the email i got from paypal after the dispute was reviewed.

This was febuary that the case was closed and I'm still yet to recieve a penny back.

Just to let you know, if he doesn't have the funds in his paypal anymore, good luck getting your money back.

I went through something like this on another forum and was out $250...

PP flat out told me "You don't have premium buyer protection and since he doesn't have a bank account or any money in his account we cannot refund you"
 
Thats it, if hes trying to scam and has transfered the money from his paypal to bank account and theres no further funds in his paypal, you wont get a refund.

I'm not sure how the eBay resolution centre works but id do both paypal and eBay claims, you can always cancel them if the flux shows up.
 
Yeah I only went through PP, I didn't buy it off ebay. We went on vacation and went right through the guys town, and since he wanted me to pay using Western Union, I had his address! So we went to his house and it was a legit address but no one was home...left a note and they never called me or anything.

Anyways I hope you get the flux or your money back!!!

Also keep calling PayPal or ebay....I wish I did
 
I wish i had the seller that ripped me off's address, id pay even more money for that lol I'm just glad it was only £27 that i was ripped off.

Yea mine wasnt through eBay either, I'm sure i read theres an eBay buyers protection guarentee somewhere so doing both would get you a better chance of getting your money back id of thought? Iv never had to do an eBay dispute, but yea lets hope it does show up anyway and were all worrying for nothing lol
 
well i had a wedding this weekend so ive been gone but heres the update.

so far no communication at all thru ebay paypal or email. i took your guys advice and made my claim through paypal before i left for the wedding (friday) so he/she has had time to get back to me. I made the claim thru paypal and when i went to ebay to mak eone, as i was advised it said i already had one open so I'm assuming i have it done properly and both are covered. this is new groud to me but I'm honestly still hoping that i get a reply with a tracking number telling me its on the way. I would rather have the truck then the money since i purchased everything already (batteries, chargers, etc.) plus i parted out and sold one of my trucks i didnt really want to part with. i don't think people like this realize how much they screw with people. so thats the update ill keep you posted along this lame ordeal.:stressed:
 
kinda sounds like its not coming. but at least you protected your money so you can move on to the next seller.
 
I'm almost thing this a sign to build a racer. lol carbon fiber here i come. j/k i still want this flux bad but right now I'm either hoping i get the truck or get the money. if i don't get either that will be a tough one
 
this is why i don't buy stuff till i have the truck in hands... kinda like when i bought the jammin truggy, i purchased with a MO and the guy sent parcal post so it took about 2 weeks to get it. i wanted to splurge inbetween on a mill and what not but i held back till i had that truck in my hands.
 
Doh good luck bud. I have had this happen but it was due to a hacked eBay acct and the guy over nighted me the stuff at his expense when it was said and done.
 
ya pope i filed the claim thru paypal and when i went to do it in ebay as well it was already showing it. I should have waited Bad i now know, but i didnt want to have a flux sitting here then wait 3 weeks for shipping after that for everything else to show up. i gambled i guess but to tell you the truth ive bought so many things off the internet that my trust was getting higher in people. what i mistake that was. lol. it still may show but with the lack of communication going on I'm starting to doubt it more and more. fingers crossed fellas

Yes, ebay mistakenly suspended my account on Thursday night and so far they have not gotten it restored.



That set off a chain reaction of people panicking even though our feedback was perfect and a whole list of PayPal complaints.



That then has made PayPal panic and caused some other problems. I am working with them to get it straightened out. Because of all these problems, I will not know how to proceed until I speak with my PayPal rep in the morning.



Ebay still has my account suspended and I cannot access emails or see order details. So that is why I have been out of touch – it most certainly wasn’t intentional.



Your item has shipped. It was shipped on the 12th. If you could please release this claim, this will go a long way to helping me get this stuff straightened out.


I'm going to release the claim now boys, prepare for some good flux footage!

things do work out every now and then.
 
well just a tick.. i went to cancel the claim and it says that once canceled it cannot be re opened. i may just keep it pending until i have a little more certainty. Still slightly spooked about the whole thing. what do you guys think?
 
Sweeet! I'm happy for you man! Personally I would hold out alittle longer. It's his fault for not giving you a tracking # right off the bat so you know where your money is! Do you have a tracking # now?
 
Keep it open and filed till u get the truck... Do not cancel until it us in your hands
