and it was a pain to figure out how to mount the box, get the switch in and just the little things that made it anoying lol.

yup scott they work just fine, thanks again.

thanks for the comments guys. keep um coming.

baddrick, why was mounting a p.i.t.a? the rpm box look taller than the esc & might offer 'upside-down skid protection' is it taller or a trick of the camera?

just askin caz i might end up using your set up here. ordered my low-pro shock towers last night so i wanna make sure that esc stays safe ($$$$)

NVM badd, i looked at your pics again & found my answer. ESC is more-than well protected by the roll bar.

UPDATE:
Got the truck ALL together.... just need the batts, power supply and a pinion gear

i see a green pinion gear on there already, why you not gonna use that 1?

yup sure is freddy. what towers u order?
and green one is the one that came in the castle kit, heard its not the right one and the pitch on it is incorrect.

not sure bank i alwasy thought they were to turn the truck on and off lol. j/p everyone says they fail at some point and they just solder the 2 wires together... once it fails ill end up doing that.

sweet, cant wait to see your build to.

i got everything together and my charger and power supply have arrived, I'm only waiting on my batts as of now and just have a little soldering to do before its alive!

Looks great man cant wait to see some video.

were did you get those TVPs? been looking fror some flux tvps for my brushless build so i can use the flux battery boxes.

Actually now that I thinking of it the 6.5mm connectors said 12-gauge I think

You can fit 8gauge wire in the 6.5mm Castle connector with a bit of drilling. Also, any high-quality amp wire will be high strand count.

The reason I mention 8gauge is my Hyperion pack came with that size...insane.

Bad, don't forget you still need to mod those battery boxes...especially with the power leads for the ESC being up front on your set-up. One big tip: swap sides on the boxes...they don't open all the way stock because the roll bar interferes. Also, make sure you have both screws installed in the end mounts. Trust me, the design on those boxes suck, stock, but with a few quick changes, they're very strong.

ill know what I'm going to do once i get my batts, thus the reason ive waited till now. i have a plan but just have to see if its going to work with the batts, if it will then there will be no need to mod.
also mine open fully with the roll bar or atleas 85-90% of the way which should be enough, but like i said got to wait till the batts come tomorrow 🙂 thanks for looking out.

i know this is a dumb question, but on the elec trucks does the motor brake for you? i don't see a servo for brakes.

UPDATE!!!!!
i remounted the servo back under the flm servo plate and remounted the ecs using a "SPECIAL" bracket made by non other then TRAXXAS! worked good lol i also used double sided sticky tape so this ecs is going NOWHERE. I also remounted the switch to the ecs mount.... the holes on the flm plate were close enough to mount the ecs mount so i didnt have to drill new holes.

i also modded the battery boxes.
i used the soft side of the velcro around the hole so it wouldnt cut the wire.

i then took one of the pieces of high density foam included with the boxes and cut a recess out for the chargeing plug that is on the battery so it wouldnt harm it.

I ALSO modded a standard size flm skid plate to work with the team tcs tvp's. the downside of these tvp's is there isnt a skid plate for them... well i changed that, i drill 4 holes that lined up with the 4 mounts on the plate, then i took the back 2 inches or so and bent it to match the bend in the tvp's it came out great and looks sweet.

i have not used those so i wouldn't know if they are worth it... you can be the guinea pig for those babies! lol

ya depending on what the people on the air force base i will be moving to next month think of my picco, i might have to go brushless. (you would think that jets make more noise and they would be use to it...)

your not the only one freddy lol

LAST UPDATE!! the build is not complete.

i got everything soldered up and ready to plug and play all thats left is to charge the batts and go bashin!

all I can say is wow, I can't wait to see that rig run. Frddyj make sure you got those camera batteries charged!

Your truck looks sweet, so nice and clean in those pics I almost can't imagine it covered in dirt... Almost LOL! I don't have much experience with electric power but I just saw video of a Flux HP with upgraded electronics and a pair of LiPo's doing standing backflips by hitting the throttle! Crazy, I never knew LOL!
