Yup, I finally put my money where my mouth is. Picked up the XL-length TVPs, the extended motor plate, and a servo plate. I also picked up a piece of 1/8" Lexan from American Plastics here town for a polycarb skidplate. (Lexan only cost me $1.00...) Dropped the receiver in a project box from Radio Shack. Not as pretty and compact as the RPM box, but it's robust enough to take the beating. For now, I've got a new pair of Mulchers, un-taped so I've got by standing backflips back, baby!

Wheels will eventually be Trenchers on black 1/2 offsets, and I'll be picking up another body to paint metallic black with some silver accents.

looking sweet! thanks for sharing......

P.S. were does everyone find the mulchers? lol i have been wanting a set for a long time lmao

looking great ace i like the project box as its sealed tight by the looks of it and its screwed down and nice work on the skid plate you going to paint it ? or leave it clear ?

Skid plate will remain clear, other than scratches, lol. Fortunately, I can get moe Lexan cheap as scraps at American Plastics when this one gets too whanged-up.

Unfortunately, the Mulcher tire is discontinued. In fact, Pro-Line has discontinued all 3.2" MT tires except the Masher, and they don't have any 3.2" wheels to even mount those on. You can still find them here and there online. Trying using the shopping search on Google, and you should turn up a few sets. I found mine at the LHS, but it was the last set they had a few months back.

it bums me out how pro-line has been slacking in the MT class...

do the offsets effect you're turning too much?

Slacking? You mean selling out to Traxxas.

And yes, the offset does effect the turning a bit, mostly by just reducing rollover. With the old stock black servo-saver spring it did tend to push out of the corners, but the new HD spring mostly solved that issue. Moving up to a heavier servo (Savox SC-1256TG, 278oz-in), and refilling the diffs with 50k/30k fluid has got it balanced a lot better.

One note on the Mulchers: They get hella traction for acceleration, but side-bite isn't as good as, say, Badlands. This works for me because I prefer the back end to step out, but it might bug some people.
