I installed the JP-2 pipe and did some tuning today and this thing is bad ass, it has plenty of low end power and the pipe really helped the mid range rpm's. After getting it warmed up I made a few adjustments and the first time I got on it hard it flipped over while shifting into second and the pipe came undone. This pipe uses springs to connect to the header and the stock header uses the rubber boot, the pipe goes in the boot and I did zip tie it but it doesn't go in for enough. I can run it around the yard but if I get rough with it the pipe will pull out....pulling out is always disappointing!

Post a picture of the pipe setup where the problem is and I'll see if I can help u out with that because pipe falling off is not good the engine will run lean

That little crack? that's nothing man that bod has TONS of life left. Its toast when it falls off the truck while running :):):):)
.......Okay I don't see how this post was offensive.....

Despite my previous post, I also have heard that shoe goo works well....however when you have the plastic roll cage over the engine like you do in the picture, the need to run a body is minimal on a savage unless you're doing massive jumps and landing upside down.
Also running without a body makes it easier to tune and lets the engine run significantly cooler.

I think the rigs look silly without the body on it. a couple well placed holes aids in cooling and tuning the engine and besides the body does protect much more than one might think. I use .060 shells on mine and it crashes just as hard as without the body as with it installed, but the shell takes alot of stress off things with it on...... far as gettin shoo goo, I use the plumbers goop I get at the local hardware store 3.99 a tube , a tube lasts a long time and ya can to many repairs with it. plus mount tires and many other uses....

Shoo Goo and a piece of scrap lexan on the inside of the lid will fix that right up. Pete, you can get shoo goo at wal mart, it will be back in the shoe dept where they have the laces and shoe inserts. You can get a decent size tube for about 3 bucks.

any ace hardware or true value or home depot etc, they all carry Plumbers Goop and is about 3.99 a tube , that black rtv silicone will not work at all. a small piece of scrap lexan and plumbers goop will make a repair that will out last the rest of the body....... I use it around body posts and anywhere it has a potential for cracking.....

Next time I'm in a hardware store I'll look for the plumbers goop, after reading about using it to mount tires it has been on my to buy list.
